Can be done Manasalu Circuit Trek without guide or Porter?


Law of Nepal immigration has declared or defined that trekkers have to be gone for the Manasalu Circuit Trek at least with a trekking guide or Porter-guide as having a trekking guide license for Nepal. As being this region restricted area, traveller need to be in a group of at least persons to get special permit and to travel in this region. Individual is not allowed to issue the special permit like permit for Annapurna Conservation and to do the trekking also. Trekkers have to accompany with at least one authorized person from Nepal as a guide or Porter-guide during the visit.

For hiring the guide or Porter-guide and porters for your trip you can contact with the same trekking agency like Enjoy Nepal Treks, which helps to process for special permit in Immigration of Nepal and permit for Manasalu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP) and Annapurna Conservation Area Permit ( ACAP). They provide the trekkers more experienced and trained trekking guide license holder guide or Porter-guide and porters also. They are more concerned and responsible about their duty and job. They help trekkers to attempt their motive. With guide or porter-guide trekkers can get chance to learn more and more about the culture, religion, history, mountains and so many things.
If the trekkers have already hired a trekking guide for Manaslu Circuit Trek, it is optional for you to take porter. If trekkers hire porter-guide he or she can carry around 10-12 kgs of your bag pack and at the same time he or she guide you. If the trekkers can carry the bag pack self then they do not need a porter, they need only a guide. Salary for guide is from 22-30 USD/day depending on their skill, language, and knowledge about culture, religion and many more. For porter-guide day fare is also from 20-26 USD/day and for porter day rate is 17-20 USD/day/head depending on peak season also. And insurance for guide, porter-guide or porters is compulsory which costs extra.
